THE TASTY BITS THIS WEEK
Special Feature Story of the Week
-This last week the Timbers took one more step to becoming the Portland Rangers!! Just kidding, BUT we did sign another Scotsman named Steven Smith. He is a defender and ALSO a past Ranger like Kris Boyd. SO at least a few people will know what Boyd is saying when he speaks his Scotch English! To clear the space, we did drop James Marcelin…Sad about that…He joined the team while we were still in the USL along with current Timbers Alhassan and Dike…
-On Saturday morning the Timbers took on Montreal up in the Eastern corner of the Northern Territories and relived the common nightmare of falling apart in the last 15 minutes of the match. A controversial handball call on New Timber Steven Smith resulted in a PK, and then some fall apart defending gave the Impact a 2-0 victory. Same story, but my question is, why aren’t WE scoring goals?
Each week I check in with Marshall Kirkpatrick for the latest in Tech news and tweets. Whether he is tirelessly building his new project Plexus Engine or continuing his work with Read Write Web, Marshall always has his finger on the crystal ball of whats new in the world of technology. This week I will show you a few things that are inspiring us and we think are totally awesome.
– Marshall tweets out a link why hairstyles and fashion in the future and in Sci Fi are so freaky! Its because it keeps us hidden from computer facial recognition! http://cvdazzle.com/
-I am still on the fence about Linked In, BUT Marshall thinks the new LindedIn App For iPad is awesome! I need to take Marshall out to the Hot Pot City and have him explain why I should be LinkedIn!!!
SPECIAL SUPPORTLAND TIDBIT
The Supportland this week is me supporting myself and taking a bit of a break from the show. This partial show was fun to put together and focusing on two Beatles albums for this week has made me wonder what I will do for Partial Vacation Version 2 in a few months when I need another break…Next week we will get back to normal and talk about fun things to plan for this summer around Portland and how to find out where ALL the local farmers markets are and when they will start opening up…BUT for now, I leave you with the the end of Side B of Abbey Road, 8 songs sewn together to take you on a musical journey we have all enjoyed before, but it is always good for another listen…Thanks for enjoying the short ride this week, see you all next time!
